Weird [Poveglia / Open]

She'd never been much of an eater. Which, considering the Italian stereotype (even though she'd have you know that she's Venetian), was a bit surprising. Most of her food went untouched on a regular basis, but this meat product looked pretty gross.

Colette poked at her lunch with her plastic fork. It didn't look particularly appetizing or like beef (she wasn't a fan of beef to begin with, but unfortunately, the other choices on the menu weren't much better). She was poking it as if it might spring to life at any moment, and she wouldn't have been alarmed It was probably still mooing if she listened closely enough. Plus, there wasn't much that could scare her.

She sighed, looking around the cafeteria. Colette found herself sitting alone, in the corner, a bit of a distance from the other tables. No one would want to sit with her, and that was fine. She was used to it. It was only the beginning of the year and she'd probably been elected the class weirdo. Even her only siblings thought she was the family weirdo.

But it didn't bother her. Nope, not at all. You learn to live with it.

"Dio..." Madałena hissed, remembering she'd gotten out of bed late this morning and had barely had enough time to get ready, let alone prepare herself some lunch to eat rather than this swill the school called 'food'. Zorzi might be able to stomach it, but she couldn't.

And how was she meant to eat without a glass of wine that they undoubtedly wouldn't give her? Tch.

Regardless of how little she actually wanted to enter the canteen, she was hungry and would just have to stomach it, sadly. But at least she'd been able to smuggle in some wine in a drinking bottle. Less than classy but desperate times called for desperate measures. Not that she was going to just jump into the line, even now. If it looked too poor quality, she wouldn't even consider it.

Łena paused, quietly skulking closer to the food to get a peak at the food. The fact that with her heels she was about 5'10" only aided her to see the 'food'-- she'd call it mush. Mush that she was refusing to eat. With a sigh she moved away from the food, deciding she'd just have to wait until after lessons were done and turned on her heel to leave.

She stopped in her tracks at catching sight of her younger sister sitting alone, again and staring for a second. She'd expected at least one person to have found her... strangeness endearing enough to want to hang around with her. Łena couldn't help but find herself feeling overwhelmed with pity for her little sister, heels clicking as she made her way over to where she was sitting.

"Ej, sorełéta, what are you doing?" Łena asked, smiling and sitting down at the table with her. It was like looking at an inverted mirror with how much the two contrasted, "Have you found any friends yet~?"

Colette halfheartedly poked are her food-like product again before frowning and throwing it out it the garbage can that was behind her. Looks like she wasn't going to be eating for a few hours. She ate like a bird on a diet, anyway, so it probably wouldn't be too difficult to go that long without sustenance. It didn't surprise her too much that the food was all but edible.

What did surprise her, though, was when she heard someone wearing heels approaching her table. At first she assumed it was one of the ghosts, because no one would voluntarily come near her that wasn't dead. It was almost as if she was cursed or something. Colette looked up to see her older sister, which made her blink in shock. Well, this was new. She was like the black sheep of their family, to say the least.

She watched as Łena took a seat, inwardly grateful to have someone to keep her company (even if she doubted this would last longer than five minutes). She was more than used to being alone, but human interaction was nice every now and then.

Upon hearing her sister's question, she shook her head. "No..." she said quietly. She wasn't a loud person, and her voice was hardly above a whisper ordinarily. She almost added "except the ghosts," but she reminded herself that her siblings generally didn't like that line of conversation.

Łena stared at her sister for a moment, realising she didn't have anything to eat and scowling, at her.

"Colette why are you not eating anything do you want to be a stick like your sister?" She huffed, not pausing to think that she put weight on like she and Zorzi did and taking a sip of the wine from the bottle. Well, less a sip and more a series of mouthfuls.

"But you should try and find some friends-- maybe join a club or something that has people with similar interests to you, surely they will want to be friends with you," She sighed, putting the bottle down on the table to stop herself drinking anymore for the moment, leaning on her free arm, "You shouldn't mention those silly ghosts to them, though. They'll put people off of you if you introduce yourself as 'ciao, I am Colette and I talk to the dead but i should tell you that they really like your hair'. Colette it won't go down very well please don't introduce yourself like that."

Łena couldn't stop herself, taking another sip from the bottle.

"Colette you are a sweet girl but I don't think we are ever going to find you a husband," she said, smiling slightly at the younger sister and meaning that to have been a joke.
